Chester Beatty Library

Save To : My Itinerary

Described by the Lonely Planet as not just the best museum in Ireland, but one of the best in Europe, the Chester Beatty Library is home to the magnificent collections of Sir Alfred Chester Beatty, the great American collector and philanthropist. The main galleries are situated in a modern addition to the 18th-century Clock Tower Building in the grounds of Dublin Castle. Facilities include the Atrium, an impressive modern space for evening events; a custom-designed Lecture Theatre offering flexible seating configurations and recently upgraded AV equipment; a highly-appointed traditional Board Room overlooking the gardens of the Castle; and the Roof Garden, a tranquil oasis ideally suited for a pre-dinner drinks reception. Private tours of the galleries can also be arranged for evening events. Catering is provided by the award-winning Silk Road Café.
